It’s hard to believe we are already a month into the school year! Our campuses are filled with energy, excitement, and the enthusiasm that comes with a new year of learning, connection, and opportunity.
Our Back-to-School Nights were a great success, and it was wonderful to see so many families on our campuses. These events provide an important opportunity for families to meet teachers, learn more about the school year, and build connections with the people who support our students every day. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make these evenings so special.
We are also excited to see athletics getting underway across the district. Our students are stepping onto fields, courts, and playing surfaces with enthusiasm and school spirit. Sports provide students with opportunities to build teamwork, leadership, perseverance, and friendships, and we are excited to cheer them on throughout the season. I encourage our families and community members to come out and support our student-athletes!
As we look ahead, Conference Week will begin at the end of September. Please remember that these will be minimum days to provide time for teachers and families to meet, discuss student progress, celebrate successes, and identify ways we can continue to support each student. These conversations are an important part of the partnership between our schools and families.
Finally, with Labor Day this Monday, I hope everyone enjoys the three-day weekend. Take some time to relax, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. We look forward to welcoming our students and staff back and continuing the great momentum we have built during the first month of school.
Thank you for being an important part of our school community. We are off to a wonderful start, and I am excited about all that is ahead this school year!
