In a year of PE, we cover so many games, sports, and activities.  Here is a quick year-at-a-glance:

Sports skill development & games:
Soccer, Hockey, and Basketball, Kickball, Pickleball, Volleyball (and Newcomb), and more...

Games:
Cornhole (beanbag toss), Bocce, Scoop games, Relay Races and more...

Activities:
Teamwork/problem-solving challenges, Agility ladders, Yoga, Dance, Fitness routines, and more...

COVID-19 Changes
Of course, COVID-19 has changed this up, and we are changing up too.
PE during distance learning will:
  • use more fitness activities that don't need any equipment and can be done right at home,
  • still include as many sport/game activities as possible, utilizing at-home items as substitutes for our standard equipment at school, and
  • include specially-designed activities that students can either play alone or (even better) with other household members. I encourage you all to play together as much as possible!  With all of this staying home, added uncertainty and stress, we ALL (adults and kids alike) could benefit from some good quality physical activity and the bonding of playing together!
